Our Client are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join their team. In this role, you will support the smooth operation of the warehouse by ensuring efficient handling of incoming and outgoing goods, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and complying with all health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently load and unload trailers, ensuring accurate completion of all associated documentation.
- Perform all tasks in line with Good Distribution Practices.
- Scan, record, and sort incoming and outgoing freight.
- Pick, stage, and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy against delivery paperwork.
- Carry out general warehouse duties, including maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the warehouse and yard.
- Match deliveries to delivery dockets and support inventory control processes.
- Complete daily tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
- Safely load vehicles in preparation for delivery.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift License (essential).
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Working knowledge of inventory systems and warehouse operations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and adaptable.
- Familiarity with delivery documentation and related processes.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English.
