We are seeking a reliable and professional Rigid Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering goods using a rigid vehicle across designated routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport goods between locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery
- Plan routes in advance and meet strict delivery deadlines
- Oversee the safe loading and unloading of goods
- Carefully maneuver the vehicle into correct positions during deliveries
- Perform regular vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Document distance travelled and maintain accurate receipts
- Comply with all relevant transportation rules and regulations
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid driving license appropriate for rigid vehicles
- Minimum of 24 months professional driving experience
- Clean driving record with no recent violations
- Ability to concentrate and drive safely for extended periods
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with GPS/sat-nav systems
- Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading of goods
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
