Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operative to join our logistics team based in Dublin 15. The successful candidate will operate forklifts to efficiently move, stack, and organize goods within our warehouse and shipping facilities, ensuring safety and accuracy in all handling processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials and merchandise safely around the warehouse and shipping docks.
- Stack and relocate pallets, crates, and bulk items according to inventory and storage plans.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of forklift equipment to ensure operational safety.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment adhering to health and safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management by accurately recording stock movements and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to meet daily operational targets and deadlines.
- Handle hazardous materials with care and comply with all relevant safety regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid forklift operator certification (Counterbalance and Bendy)
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, logistics, or shipping environment (preferably 1-2 years).
- Strong spatial awareness and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts as required.
- Basic computer skills for inventory and warehouse management systems.
- Good physical condition and ability to safely handle heavy loads up to 25 kg.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with company policies.
