Overview:
Our client, a leading freight forwarder with over 40 years of industry experience, is seeking an Export Operations Executive to join their dynamic export team. This role is ideal for a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to deliver exceptional customer service in global logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all aspects of export shipments, including organizing customer collections, booking with airlines and ocean carriers, and providing shipment updates and tracking.
- Prepare and process export documentation (MAWB, HAWB, BOL) and complete export clearances using in-house customs software.
- Ensure high standards of customer service, addressing queries and proactively resolving issues.
- Maintain daily communication with overseas offices and collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and participate in process improvements.
- Perform invoicing, job accounting, and other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements:
- 2–4 years’ experience in export operations, ideally with knowledge of both air and sea freight.
- Strong planning, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Excellent telephone manner and communication abilities.
- Experience in a fast-moving logistics environment.
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
Essential Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of export processes and documentation.
- Proficiency in booking, arranging collections/deliveries, and handling invoicing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant logistics software.
