We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Dumper Driver to operate dump trucks transporting materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, and construction debris to and from various sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of the dumper, performing vehicle inspections, and assisting with loading and unloading materials as needed. This role requires adherence to safety regulations and effective communication with site teams to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport and unload materials at construction, mining, or industrial sites safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre-start and post-trip inspections of the dumper to ensure vehicle safety and report any mechanical issues or damage promptly.
- Assist with supervising or performing loading and unloading of materials.
- Maintain accurate driver logs including hours worked, materials transported, and fuel usage.
- Follow all site safety procedures, risk assessments, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Cooperate with other plant operators, groundworkers, and site supervisors to coordinate material transport and site operations.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as greasing and cleaning the dumper to keep it in good working order.
Candidate Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class B or relevant for dumper operation).
- Experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy machinery preferred but not always essential.
- Knowledge of construction site safety and ability to work in physically demanding environments.
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks related to loading/unloading materials.
- Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates advantageous.

- CPCS or equivalent plant operator certification1.
