Our client a global freight forwarding is seeking an experience Customs Clearance agent to join the team
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete and validate documentation accurately
- Update internal systems with relevant data
- Ensure compliance control procedures are followed
- Liaise with carriers and customers for shipping details and documentation
- Support freight forwarders by gathering required information and assisting with duties
- Process import and export customs entries
- Create customer invoices for month-end billing
- Complete Import Simplified Documents (ISDs) on behalf of carriers
- Validate ISDs received from carriers
- Compile ISDs into the Access database
- Declare end-of-month bulk entries
- Generate reports for customers and Revenue
- Assist with compliance testing follow-ups
- Provide freight forwarding support
- Communicate with carriers and information providers to obtain required data
- Deliver completed documentation to customers
