Job Description
Reporting to the Regional Director, the Branch Manager will be responsible for directing and managing the Cork branch’s operations and driving business growth in the Munster region. This role involves overseeing daily activities, leading the team, developing and implementing growth strategies, and maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring targets and objectives are clearly defined and met
- Manage, motivate, and develop the branch team
- Maintain and grow the existing customer portfolio while seeking new business opportunities
- Allocate and manage staff resources to meet changing business needs
- Identify and pursue opportunities for business development and increased market share
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards, policies, and procedures
- Monitor and manage branch performance, including sales, profitability, and stockholding
- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and operational productivity
- Adapt to evolving business needs and take on additional responsibilities as required
Knowledge and Experience Required
- Significant experience in managing teams, with strong leadership qualities
- Proven sales experience, preferably in the building materials sector
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a creative approach to challenges
- Highly organized with a strong work ethic
