Senior Maintenance Technician (Naas) – €45K -50K

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
  • Respond to breakdowns and provide troubleshooting support for both mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Ensure all safety and environmental controls are integrated into maintenance activities.
  • Support production teams in meeting targets by maintaining equipment efficiency.
  • Monitor equipment performance, intervene when issues arise, and document actions in the CMMS system.
  • Assist with new equipment installations, modifications, and supplier collaborations.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on technical tasks.
  • Maintain a safe, organized workshop and adhere to all health and safety policies.
  • Record, report, and escalate issues promptly, ensuring continuous communication with management.
  • Conduct accident investigations and collaborate with management on preventative measures.

Key Skills:

  • Multi-skilled in mechanical and electrical systems, with experience in high-speed, PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in using CMMS and other maintenance-related software.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant trade qualification (electrician or fitter).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, automation, and PLC systems.
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and food safety regulations.

Health and Safety Duties:

  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including the use of PPE and safety devices.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Report any hazards, accidents, or incidents immediately and assist in corrective actions.
  • Participate in safety audits and ensure the workplace is safe for all employees.
